The faculty of BTEC have advanced music degrees from recognized conservatories and universities, and are trained in the Suzuki method of teaching. They also regularly participate in Suzuki workshops and attend other music conferences throughout the United States. Most are involved in professional music activities in the community, such as orchestras and chamber groups.
Director
Kelly AJ Powers offers two decades in development, nonprofit management and cultural affairs journalism. Ms. Powers’ work has appeared in the Chronicle of Philanthropy, Baltimore Magazine and The Washington Post. Her strategic public relations work has brought success to several presidential and local political campaigns, community-based nonprofits as well as universities. Powers is a graduate of the College of Journalism at the University of Maryland at College Park, and has attended the University of Baltimore School of Law.
